5-Ingredient Almond Flour Protein Bites
Updated: Jul 6, 2020
Did you know almond flour is just ground up almonds? Almonds are an excellent source of vitamin E, magnesium, fiber, and plant-based protein, which means these bites are packed with all of those amazing nutrients!
These balls are super quick, super simple, super delicious, and of course, #prettybalanced. They make roughly 6-9 balls, depending on the size,
Ingredients:
1/2 cup almond flour
1/3 cup your favorite chocolate or vanilla protein powder
1/3 cup your favorite nut butter (I used cashew butter, but any type will do)
1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
½ tsp of salt
(option to add a handful of chocolate chips, dried fruit, coconut, chopped nuts, etc. - be creative, but they’re still tasty on their own)
Directions:
Place the honey and peanut butter in a saucepan on medium-low heat and stir until they are melted together (option to do this in the microwave in a microwavable bowl, stirring every 20 seconds).
Remove from heat, and add in the remaining ingredients.
Mix all of the ingredients until a dough-like consistency forms.
If adding chocolate chips or another "add-in", fold in now.
Roll into approx. 1” balls.
Store in the fridge for up to 7 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
